Anne A. Cameron
Anne was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 2000 after attending Law School at the University of Utah.
Anne is originally from California and attended the University of California, San Diego for her undergraduate studies and San Diego State University for her teaching credential. Prior to attending Law School, Anne taught biology and chemistry in the San Diego City School District for 4 years and taught horseback riding in Rancho Santa Fe during college and while teaching school.
While attending law school, Anne worked for the Office of the Utah Attorney General in the Criminal Division working on capital crimes and complex financial crimes. After graduating from law school, Anne worked for the Salt Lake County District Attorney prosecuting drug and alcohol crimes, violent crimes, personal and property crimes, and complex financial crimes. In 2005, Anne began working at the Summit County Attorney’s Office prosecuting the same variety of issues in Summit County.
In 2007 Anne transitioned to working as a defense attorney in Park City and started practicing family law including divorce, paternity, child custody, protective order, and stalking injunction cases in addition to criminal defense cases including DUI’s, drug and alcohol crimes, and domestic violence. Anne’s experience as a prosecutor for multiple agencies gives her unique insight into the prosecution of crimes, how to defend against criminal charges, as well making use of good relationships with prosecuting and police agencies. Anne is trained in Collaborative Family Law which is a small group mediation based resolution to family law issues with a collaborative team rather than the traditional litigation based approach.
Collaborative Family Law is a cost effective, respectful, problem solving approach to divorce that minimizes conflict and the negative impact on children and the family relationships. Collaborative Family Law produces binding agreements that are filed with the Court and avoids lengthy and costly Court battles which negatively impact families.
Anne started her own practice in the summer of 2015. Cameron Law continues to practice all aspects of Collaborative Family Law, Protective Orders, Stalking Injunctions, and criminal defense, as well as other related cases.
In addition to advocating for clients as their attorney, Anne is also a trained Mediator and works as a Mediator in cases that are in litigation.
In addition to her Law and Mediation practice, Anne maintains community involvement with her work on the Board of Governors at the Jeremy Ranch Golf and Country Club, Park City Bar Association Board of Directors, member of the Park City Women’s Business Network, member of the Utah State Bar Pro Bono Committee, and makes presentations to the Park City Bar Association and other community groups.
Anne is an avid golfer, cyclist, and skier and enjoys the social, entertainment, and recreational opportunities in Park City and Summit County.
